Upload a new version of an existing track
Sometimes impatient users (like me:) upload a preview export of a track; one week later the track is mastered and minor changes are done. In the mean time 20 users could have listened to the track and some might commented it.
It would be great, for the artist and his followers, to be able to upload a new version of a track. The dashboard of the followers would only report that a new version of this track is available and wont write 4 times this same track to be new. Followers will focus on tracks they didnt listen. The comment and plays should remains unerased. And the artist should be able to erase the obslolets timed comments if necessary!

Inappropriate?we implemented a function called "replace track" on the track-edit page a few month ago that allows you to replace the audio in a track player. all comments will stay. we'll think about your idea on reporting these updates to the users it's shared to as well. have a look and let me know what you think!
I’m excited

I'm mostly using soundcloud for unfinished productions, so I update regularly. If updates showed up in the dashboard and/or in the weekly update mail, that would be great! -
Inappropriate?@ThaJay: good point. we'll consider that option!

I wonder, is it possible to reset the statistics on such a track? I uploaded a new version of an existing track, but it still says "uploaded 2 days ago", since that was when the original went up.
Would be cool if there's a way to tell that someone updated the file within (apart from saying so in the title with 'Take Two' or something). And that it is reintroduced as basically a new track in the Dash or mail would indeed be great! -
we'll think about this one.
