This site cannot work for some of us unless we have the choice to choose who follows me

I don't want ANYONE to be able to follow me - just people from my choir who I upload the private recordings for. No, they can't access private recordings, but these extras confuse me about who I should and shouldn't add and are just annoying Uberusers. I only know they don't belong to my choir because they have their country noted - why do they want to join personal recordings of a choir anyway? How do I get rid of these followers or block them? This should be an option. Thanks.
