Apologies for the late feedback.
Reproducing means that we try and run through the problem described to be able to understand what the issue is. Basically that means: we try to do what you were trying to do and see if a) that problem appears on our end too (which in this case makes it easy to identify or b) try to understand the problem based on your description of the problem and the "surrounding" you're in. That can be your operating system, its version and the browser you're in and maybe cross-check if the same problem appears in other browsers on the same machine.
Anyway, it is still hard for us to understand what the exact problem is you're having:
- What happens when you try to leave a comment or reply: wouldn't it let you type, doesn't it submit, doesn't it show up at all, is it at the wrong place, what do you see when you want to submit etc.
As I said in my comment on the thread, the more detailed your feedback and description is, the better we can try to nail it without actually seeing it on your computer. If you can provide screenshots that would help too. Please send it too david at soundcloud dot com
Again - sorry for the delay in our feedback. I understand you're frustrated about this but I also hope we could continue communicating in a mutually respectful tone.

Inappropriate?yes well respectful communicating i did and always is my middle name gegege ... but if that leaves me empty handed for months well !!You have no idea how irritating this is, it sometimes...mostly ,costs me a lot of time and lost info or comments So often i just give up. Hence the frustration. But you are here now ..so lets go back to level one okay Hey ,reading back you can not blame me for being a bit out of control David ..Give me some time and ill collect as many as i can and leave sufficient and detailed info on the problem Above on this page is already lots of info on it

The wave form and the text balloon ,mix up.. so to leave comments the timeline is being involved so it doesnt post the comment ..no it moves the timeline anywhere you tap to post whatever you want to post. I of coarse dont think about this the whole time. (BTW i am getting quit used now though ;-))So this results in all kinds of behaviors ,most not welcome .To post the comment I have to go out the trackbox/waveform and tap neutral terrain to finally post !! -
Inappropriate?I also have a problem with leaving comments. Not on all comment entries, but I have one comment, that I can't reply to. All that happens is, that the bottom space where I'm supposed to enter my comment is turned into a single blue thin line of a pixel or so (the blur colour bar where your comment at... stands) - , very strange?!
Another happening I also see is, that by pressing "reply" the bottom text field simply disappear, and the popup box is re-sized without the text entry bottom part?
Strange, that a few of my comment popups have a ready text field, where all the others have nothing. I have to press "reply" where the earlier mentioned thin blue line appear, but no field I can type in?

Inappropriate?I have the problem that after leaving a comment in the timeline and hitting post the comment window does not close. To make it close I then clicked outside the commentbox, but if the mousepointer happens to touch on the soundwave, the playback jumps to that position. For some reason it happened to me a lot on my first 15 comments before i figured out what not to do.

But I could only write two lines of text in the popup box, then I could see the text I was writing, was disappearing under the two first lines of text? The textfield didn't expand to the lines of text.

I just tested commenting on several tracks (also one of yours) and couldn't notice any glitches while doing so. Do you have a specific track where you can't comment (or a specific comment thread within a track) or does this happen to every comment you try to post.
Still odd to try to reproduce this since we besides this GetSatisfaction thread, we hardly get any reports of comments not working.

I haven't had any specific "bugs" with comments and one reason why you might not get a lot of complaints is that most of the annoying hang-ups can be circumvented with a little creativity, so people just incorporate that into their work-flow.
My main problem with comments has been the same as Steen Larson's. Is there anyway to have the text box expand when typing more than 4 lines? This is a constant problem.
Another issue I have had is similar to Eugene's in that if I am trying to isolate a line of text to copy/paste or edit in a comment, I often end up clicking on the wave *behind* the comment box and the track skips to there. Then I have to close the comment box, reopen the comment and begin typing again and hope when I hit 'post' or click within the box that it does not click the waveform instead. This seems to be sporadic and inconsistent, happening 1 out of 5 times I leave a comment.
One possible solution would be an option to engage a "shift-click" option. So you can choose in your settings to hold down a key and click if you want to manipulate the wave form. Otherwise, nothing happens.

Thanks George. That's something we'd need to put some thinking into. The odd part about this is that it only happens once every other comment. The "Shift-click" sounds like a good option (a nice keyboard shortcut similar to what the Twitter client Tweetie does).

It looks like it is "the observer |"account only !!Btw i tried to leave comments on a nmbr of different console's but the same problems occurred every time so it is not a server/provider problem either

We've noticed that you use the same email on two different accounts. That usually shouldn't be possible but somehow slipped through. That probably causes some of the problems you've been seeing (like password reset). If you can, try to use two different email addresses on both accounts so that they can't get mixed up. This should also resolve the password reset issue.

Inappropriate?1) it's a technical product: bugs can happen any time for reasons we can't foresee. If we discover one or get a report, we do everything in our power to fix it in a timely matter
2) I agree with youu that this thread is long and started a while ago. However, there are many different topics and each has been addressed and acted upon. We work hard to keep the site running with the limited resources at our hands. We've addressed the performance issues before and will continue to do so.
3) I just visited /the-observer and landed on your sets page.
4) I've reported the delete problem, a developer is looking into it. I can delete your account manually if you want me to. But yes, we don't want to let you go and yes, it would be boring without you. -

Inappropriate?Okay david i think we are on to something although i did not like u said use the same Email there must have been some discrepancy there since after deleting all the links and changing the passwords etc the accounts seem to act pretty normal in the sense that i changed my description and profile look s So for now it seems to work alright ..

Inappropriate?I have to say there has been a good bit of fiddliness involved in commenting since the last major update, basically it seems like the alpha/z depth seems to get confused and when your clicking within the timed comment window, it often makes the play/stop bar underneath skip to wherever you clicked. This can be very annoying and does happen to me in both Firefox and IE on my WinXP Pro machine. A fiddly 'workaround' I have found is that if you click the solid blue bar of the 'timed comment' bubble before you try and type or click into the text input area, it often goes back to be 'properly on top'. It is definitely pretty annoying and fiddly though tbh.
