Inappropriate?This is Soundcloud's custom message for a HTTP 500 response code. I imagine that their service is suffering under load or some other problem at the minute. Certain my set player on MySpace is not playing back reliably.
They have acknowledged that their service has been getting hit very heavily lately so it's probably due to the same problems. -

I'm very understanding if you post a note saying there are service issues today and possibly give us time/day estimations on a fix, as I will then go away quietly - I too am a programmer and understand the unforeseen issues you can encounter.... it is not knowing that is frustrating, especially when my page never loads and ALMOST EVERY soundcloud user, track and play button I click on generates 500 errors, or does nothing at all. I'm even following you guys on twitter for the chance of an update.
Today is definitely the worst day in your history. I hope this is resolved within the next 10 days - I don't want to be forced into cancelling my standard pro account for the trial period reimbursement. Can we get an extension on this trial period if required? I'm happy to be patient but not too happy to risk the wait!

I noticed the problems last night with batch uploads. Today though, it appears that everything on SoundCloud is intermittently borked. Initially I suspected a problem with S3 (I dropped S3 from my own products last year because of general flakiness -- and was already a bit skeptical of SoundCloud's reliance on S3), but the AWS Service Health page at http://status.aws.amazon.com/ shows all green lights.

What makes me really upset - as a internet pro - is that we don't get any information about the problem and how long it might last. I click on it, choose a file, fill in the needed fields and hit the send button and all i see is this fucked up message.
It happened the 2nd time (different place), so now I have to write it here. For what is the dropbox ment to be ? I don`t get it.

The problem you've had could be tied to the upload problems we've experienced in the last two days. There are still some hiccups but I've just tried to drop a track to my own Dropbox and it has worked.
Could you give it another shot to see if it works. And of course because I'm looking forward to getting your track.
