Horrendous sound quality - sort the compression please!
The Sound Quality is really dreadful. I've uploaded some very hi-res files and they sound noisy and really disappointing.

thanks for reaching out to us via Twitter and your blog post. We appreciate your feedback.
We're constantly working on improving the encoding process and quality and I think it's fair to say that we're currently among the ones out there offering the best audio transcoding if not the best. The thing is that we're limited on the streaming side by fairly low-bandwidth sound.
In the future though, we're hoping to introduce a better transcoding/sound quality option for our Pro accounts. A timing we're looking at right now is this fall but we're not sure yet about how big of a quality difference we're able to achieve. Additionally, we're talking to offer aac/ogg streaming but that hasn't been decided yet.
