Change in the play counts on tracks
Hey folks,
this is a quick info to let you know that we made some changes to the track play counts. From now on, all plays on your own tracks will be counted too and will appear in your stats.
Cheers,
David

Inappropriate?hello, that's really bad news, i don't care about my own plays, i just want to know who and how many plays i get ...
please change this back as it was or add it as an option !!!!
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?at least it should be an option, i really don't care at all how many times I have listened to my own tracks on soundcloud and everyone i have spoken to on soundcloud neither .. it was great & good as it was, why not just have a simple tick-box option in the preferences "Include my own plays in stats" ?
-
Inappropriate?I agree. I am not interested in seeing my own plays added to the total play count. I don't see how this helps.
-
Inappropriate?C'mon guys... how else can you stack your play count? Oh, wait...
so, is this another "feature" then that nobody wants?
I really just wish SC left well enough alone and just fixed the bugs with the features they already had going... -
Inappropriate?I call it the discogs way: Roll out new features just for the sake of it. Let the community beta test them and find bugs, but don't fix them. Instead, add new features nobody asked for without any warning. Repeat.
I’m sarcastic
-
Inappropriate?People are just going to keep hitting play on their own tracks bumping the count up, i think this is a way to play the system on SC. A lot of us want our music to be heard but artificially inflating your plays just seems wrong.
I’m frustrated
