Can I view my remaining upload quota?
Hi guys,
Is there a page within Soundcloud on which I can view my remaining quota for the month? I have been unable to see the info so far (though it is highly possible that I've simply overlooked it).
Interestingly if I view the page source for just about any SC page, I do see the following:
"quota":{"uploads":14,"playlists":Infinity}
I am on a pro-light plan for that account, and I have uploaded 1 track so far this month so it does actually seem to be my remaining quota, but I'm guessing that viewing the page source isn't an official means of obtaining the info?
Cheers,
Maurice

We count available uploads by having a look at tracks uploaded within the latest 30 days. I know it's a bit confusing and we're working on a better way of communication both that and the amount of available uploads. hope to have such a thing up ad running kinda soon.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?um... yeah... what about mistakes that are deleted? once deleted they should be removed from the count.... im broke and need to market myself... please let me upload my new tracks... it's September! :(

What's your username, Leslie? The way we count your upload quota is by having a look at your available uploads per month minus the amount of tracks you've been uploading during the latest 30 days. I can check for you when your next upload will be ready if you send me your username. -
Inappropriate?I would also like to know when I can upload more tracks. Thanks!

Inappropriate?I just had a real horror show with this problem.
After making a mix I tried to upload it around three times but the connection timed out - I got it up eventually but I reckon each of those failed atempts to upload ate into my quota - then I finally got the demos from my old band after waiting years to hear them and share them with my old band mates.
But it turns out I could only upload half my set cos the quota was used up. I thought this might run month to month so I assumed I would get a fresh slate at the start of October but no - it just measures uploads in the last 30 days.
I dont know how we are supposed to manage our quotas without being able to at least see how many we have left. Last night was really disappointing and I cant even tell my band mates when I can get the tracks to them!
Soundcloud is ace but this is a poor design decision.
Please can we fix it?
eops
I’m disappointed

Inappropriate? The system currently tells you when you are on your LAST upload, but it would also be helpful to have a counter of how many uploads are remaining. That way you can make the call between uploading another set or uploading a couple of tracks (it's better not to start uploading a set when you might only get half the tracks uploaded that month).

Inappropriate?Hey everyone,
thanks for checking in. We are aware of that and this will change in our next update due in a few weeks. In the meantime, hang in there and post your username if you want me to look into your account.

Inappropriate?My username is eops
any chance of getting back those failed uploads I mentioned - that way I could at least finish the set I was halfway through uploading :)
Thanks for the quick reply - great to hear this is getting sorted :)
I’m happier

I'm afraid we can't allocate any uploads manually, it's technically not possible to do so at the moment. Your next uploads: Oct. 6th, 9th, 14th, 16th, 19th, etc. -
Inappropriate?I posted my username already... just want to know when mine will start over.
username: DJEvenflO -
Next uploads: Oct. 11th, two on the 29th, one on the 29th -
Inappropriate?Well thanks for the reply - so I take it this means I can upload 1 track on the 6th ... one three days later then five days after that ....
This is a bonkers system - how could you run a professional studio with deadlines if you had to keep track of that? Surely giving X amount of uploads from date X to date Y makes loads more sense - this is very confusing and not to the benefit of the user.
Sorry to sound offish but if you hadnt explained that I would never have been able to tell when I could use the service without careful use of a calendar and even then the tracks are marked 'about a month ago' which means its actually impossible to budget your uploads accurately.
Shame cos I love the cloud but this aint user friendly - roll on next update.
I’m resigned to disappointment

Valid points, Eops. As I said, this will change in a couple of weeks.
